Joker Tutorial

Joker Tutorial Marrow Tutorial Tint Area Parameters Lines Parameters Batch Tutorial

Viewer manipulations:

right click to use the menu or
Zoom in the viewer : CTRL + Mouse
Moving the image : ALT + Mouse

Opening a file :

1- Select "joker.jpg" (it's an image delivered with the software)

Starting :

Start a vecto with the default param (don't touch anything, only the little "blue button" in the param window.

Comments : Not brilliant !!

By using the zoom of the viewer (CTRL + mouse) it's possible to see that there is too many details, too many colors.

Note: the parameters of the wizard can be seen clicking on Advanced tab.

Changing :

You'll change the wizard param and select

- color = simplified
- details = simplified
- outlines = simplified

Comment : Better !!

As you see in the headers of the windows, the number of paths has decreased from 438 paths to 218 paths.
Don't forget that a vector image must be "manageable" in your vector editor (it's impossible to work with thousands of vectors.

Using Templates

Use the second tab (templates) and select joker (it's my best set of parameters).

If you want to store a set of parameters for a batch process or for re-use, select the little disk at the bottom of the param window (yellow color for an automatic save of the current parameters, red color if you want to store your file in a special directory, with a special name).

Comment : The best result !!

Clean lines and zones and only 125 paths. There remains little work to clean the background and to adjust teeth.

Typically, working with VectorEye is making a lot of tests.

So you'll have 5, 10 or more windows on your screen in order to compare results.

Note : you could use the mosaic function to see all the tests and use the CTRL/Mouse to select a zone on each image and the ALT/mouse to move and compare details)

Selecting an image will display the specific set of parameters used to generate it in the Advanced tab.

So, compare, delete the bad results (close the windows) and after, use the Advance tab to adjust the result (increasing or decreasing by 1 could be consequent for the final result)

Don't forget : GOOD INPUT // GOOD RESULT.... BAD INPUT // SH... RESULT
